Japanese Motorway Pileup Claims 8 Ferraris, 1 Lamborghini, 2 Mercedes-Benzes, & Luckily No Lives

Just when you thought there was enough this year with huge motorway pileups in the UK, Germany, and crashed exotics in Poland and Peru, there’s more. According to Japanese police in Yamaguchi prefecture, Hiroshima, a total of 14 cars were involved in the wreck. 10 people were treated for bruises and cuts, but thankfully no one was seriously injured. 8 Ferrari’s, 1 Lamborghini, and 2 Mercedes-Benz’s did however meet an abrupt end. Damage estimates are said to be in excess of $3.85 million. Police reports say that the accident was caused when one of the Ferrari’s attempted to change lanes but ended up hitting the median barrier. The result was pin-balling across the highway leading to more crashed as others tried to avoid the accident.
